On <\/strong> January 26, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Leading pan-African investment company, Heirs Holdings<\/strong>, has announced the appointment of Obinna Ufudo<\/strong> and Sola Yomi-Ajayi<\/strong> as Non-Executive Directors<\/strong>, reinforcing the Group\u2019s commitment to strong corporate governance and strategic leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The appointments bring to the Board decades of experience spanning finance, energy, governance, and global markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sola Yomi-Ajayi<\/strong> has over 30 years of experience in financial services, regulatory engagement, governance, and enterprise risk management. She previously served as an Executive Director of United Bank for Africa (UBA)<\/strong>, where she was also CEO for UBA\u2019s International Business and Country CEO for UBA America<\/strong>. She currently sits on the boards of UBA United Kingdom (UK)<\/strong> and the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU)<\/strong>, and is a member of the OECD Blue Dot Network Executive Consultation Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her previous roles include membership of the Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Committee of the U.S. Export-Import Bank (US EXIM)<\/strong> and service on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Banking (USA)<\/strong>. She holds a Master of Business Administration<\/strong> from Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University<\/strong>, is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (UK)<\/strong>, and a member of the Association of MBAs<\/strong>. She also holds a Corporate Governance Certificate<\/strong> from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania<\/strong>, and a Leadership Certificate<\/strong> from Harvard Business School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obinna Ufudo<\/strong> brings over 30 years of leadership experience across banking, investment, energy, and corporate transformation. He previously served as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Heirs Holdings<\/strong>, and as President and Group CEO of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp)<\/strong>, where he led a successful turnaround and oversaw the landmark acquisition of the Ughelli Power Plant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the Founder and Chairman of Atiat Leasing Limited<\/strong> and Co-Founder and Chairman of LoanBook Limited<\/strong>. Ufudo holds advanced executive and postgraduate qualifications from The Wharton School (AMP)<\/strong>, University of Reading (MSc, Chevening Scholar)<\/strong>, and IESE Business School (Executive MBA)<\/strong>. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
