The launch took place on <strong>Tuesday, 17 February 2026<\/strong>, at Africell\u2019s headquarters in Wilberforce, Freetown, as part of the company\u2019s annual Ramadan engagement campaign for subscribers nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2026 edition of the Ramadan Show is designed as a <strong>multi-platform entertainment and rewards program<\/strong>, combining live television and radio broadcasts, digital engagement, community outreach, and <strong>AfriMoney-powered promotions<\/strong>. The program is set to run throughout the holy month of Ramadan and includes interactive gameplay, audience participation via short codes, social media challenges, nationwide promotional activations, and community-based events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his welcome address, <strong>Africell Media Manager Abdul Karim<\/strong>&nbsp;said the 2026 show was created with heightened creativity and a stronger <strong>subscriber-centric focus<\/strong>. He noted that the program aims to provide an enhanced viewing and participation experience, while demonstrating Africell\u2019s appreciation for its nationwide customer base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marketing and Communications Manager Kamanda Koroma<\/strong>&nbsp;said the 2026 edition will be larger than previous years, featuring increased AfriMoney cash prizes alongside a broader portfolio of rewards, including <strong>smartphones, airtime, and other gifts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koroma explained that participants can enter the show by calling or sending SMS to <strong>short code 777<\/strong>, purchasing Africell scratch cards, or participating via AfriMoney. Selected participants will interact with a <strong>multiplier system<\/strong>, where visual outcomes determine prize multipliers such as \u00d71, \u00d72, or \u00d73, which are applied to cash prizes and other reward categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AfriMoney Marketing Manager John Konteh<\/strong>&nbsp;highlighted additional financial and consumer-focused promotions linked to the campaign. He announced the deployment of <strong>three branded rice trucks nationwide<\/strong>, with one stationed in Freetown and the Western Area, and two rotating across regional locations including <strong>Bo, Kenema, Makeni<\/strong>, among others. The <strong>AfriMoney Ramadan Bundle<\/strong>, priced at NLe10, includes <strong>three cups of rice redeemable via voucher<\/strong>, 2 minutes of on-net talk time, 250 MB data, and 250 SMS, valid until midnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Konteh also unveiled the <strong>Ramadan &#8220;Sunakati&#8221; initiative<\/strong>&nbsp;for AfriMoney subscribers, allowing users to participate by dialing <strong>*161*13#<\/strong>. Ten recipients will be selected daily throughout Ramadan, with winners announced on radio and AfriMoney\u2019s <strong>Facebook page<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the digital front, <strong>Africell Digital and Social Media Manager Fatmata Jaria Bah<\/strong>&nbsp;detailed daily keyword challenges announced during live broadcasts. Participants must comment on the daily keyword and compile weekly sentences to qualify for weekly prizes of <strong>NLe2,000<\/strong>. She encouraged subscribers to follow Africell\u2019s social media channels for real-time updates and additional promotional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bah also announced that customers purchasing <strong>data bundles via the MyAfricell app<\/strong>&nbsp;during Ramadan will receive a <strong>50 percent bonus<\/strong>, alongside other seasonal packages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show will air <strong>Monday to Friday<\/strong>, starting at approximately <strong>7:45 p.m.<\/strong>, with a runtime of about <strong>1 hour 15 minutes<\/strong>.
