Ambassador Yongawo Promotes SL at Moscow Mining Congress

Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Russia, Mohamed Yongawo, has called on Russian mining companies to explore investment opportunities in Sierra Leone, highlighting the country’s vast potential in mining, energy, and tourism.

Speaking at the Moscow International Mineral Processing Congress, held at the National University of Science and Technology (MISI), Ambassador Yongawo expressed gratitude to the event organizers, including the university and the Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources at the Russian Academy of Sciences, for fostering discussions on global mining advancements.

He assured potential investors of Sierra Leone’s favorable business environment, emphasizing strong security, government support, and opportunities for foreign partnerships in the country’s expanding extractive and energy industries.

The congress, a key global forum for mining experts and investors, provided Sierra Leone with a platform to showcase its rich resource potential and attract investment from Russia’s well-established mining sector.
