NASSIT’s Mohamed Bangalie Appointed to Continental PR Advisory Committee

The Head of Public Affairs at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Mohamed Bangalie, has been appointed as a member of the National Advisory Committee for the World Public Relations Summit 2026, which will be hosted by Nigeria under the auspices of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (GA).
The appointment was officially conveyed in a letter addressed to Mr. Bangalie by Dr. Ike Neliaku, President and Chairman of the Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). According to the letter, the Continental Advisory Council (CAC) is a Pan-African framework established to guide and advise the National Planning Committee in preparation for the successful hosting of the 2026 Summit in Abuja, Nigeria.
Dr. Neliaku explained that the CAC’s membership is drawn from across the African continent, comprising Chairpersons and Presidents of national public relations associations and institutes. The Council, he noted, is designed to promote strategic cooperation and ensure Africa’s united representation at one of the most prestigious global communication events.
“In recognition of Africa’s growing role in global communication, the Continental Advisory Committee has been established as a Pan-Africanist framework to provide strategic guidance and continental collaboration in support of the successful hosting of WPRF 2026,” Dr. Neliaku stated.

A Moment of Pride for Sierra Leone
Reacting to the news, Mr. Bangalie expressed his profound appreciation for what he described as a “noble gesture from the doyen of public relations in Africa.” He pledged to use the opportunity to represent Sierra Leone with excellence and to strengthen the country’s visibility within the global communication community.
“This is no mean feat,” Bangalie said. “I owe my gratitude to the Director General, Mr. Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, and my immediate boss, Mr. Osman Koroma, for their mentorship and guidance. I am deeply honoured and ready to contribute meaningfully towards this Pan-African collaboration.”
Commendations from NASSIT Leadership
NASSIT’s Director General, Mr. Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, congratulated Mr. Bangalie on his appointment, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his professionalism and dedication.
“Bumper congratulations on your appointment, Mr. Bangalie. NASSIT is proud of you. Go and make Sierra Leone shine—we trust your judgment, capacity, and acumen,” Mr. Daboh stated.
The General Manager of the Public Affairs and Events Management Division, Mr. Osman Koroma, also extended his congratulations, noting that the appointment did not come as a surprise.
“Bangalie is a hardworking and forward-thinking professional who is always eager to learn and engage with emerging trends in public relations. His appointment is a testament to his dedication and competence,” Mr. Koroma remarked.
