QCell Sierra Leone, one of the country’s leading telecommunications and digital services providers, has officially commissioned a new Customer Care Shop at Kambia 2 Check Point, marking another significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to expand access to reliable communication and mobile financial services across Sierra Leone.

The opening ceremony attracted a large turnout of community stakeholders, including traditional authorities, local council representatives, security personnel, market women, traders, youth leaders, and residents of Kambia and its surrounding communities. The colorful event provided an opportunity for community members to engage directly with QCell officials, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the company’s products and services.

In his address at the ceremony, a representative of QCell Sierra Leone explained that the new customer care shop has been strategically located to serve the growing population in Kambia District and neighboring communities. He noted that the facility will operate as a comprehensive service hub, offering SIM registration and replacement, customer care support, mobile network services, device-related assistance, and full QMoney mobile money services.

According to the company, the establishment of the shop will greatly reduce the challenges faced by customers who previously had to travel to distant towns to resolve network or mobile money issues. The new outlet is expected to improve response time, enhance customer experience, and strengthen trust between QCell and its subscribers in the district.

“At QCell, our priority is to put the customer first,” the company representative stated. “This new customer care shop reflects our commitment to bringing our services closer to the people, promoting digital and financial inclusion, and supporting community development. We are proud to be part of Kambia’s growth story.”

A key highlight of the event was a QMoney sensitization and awareness session, during which QCell staff educated participants on the advantages of using the QMoney platform. Customers were informed about how QMoney enables safe and instant money transfers, bill payments, merchant transactions, and other everyday financial services without the need to carry cash. Attendees were encouraged to dial *323# to register and start enjoying QMoney’s convenience and security.

Community leaders and local authorities warmly welcomed the initiative, describing the new customer care shop as a timely and transformative development for the district. They noted that improved access to telecom and mobile money services would boost local trade, support small and medium-scale businesses, enhance communication, and empower youth and women engaged in economic activities.

They further praised QCell for investing in Kambia, noting that the shop is also expected to create employment opportunities and strengthen the district’s integration into the digital economy.

The opening of the Kambia 2 Check Point Customer Care Shop forms part of QCell Sierra Leone’s broader national expansion strategy, aimed at extending network coverage, improving service quality, and delivering innovative digital solutions to both urban and rural communities.

Through initiatives such as this, QCell continues to live up to its corporate mission to “Expand Your World”, connecting individuals, businesses, and communities through dependable communication services and inclusive digital financial solutions that support national development.
