Vice President’s Family Donates Bus for Students’ Welfare

Bo, Sierra Leone – The family of Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has donated a 21-seater bus to the Students’ Union Government at Njala University’s Bo Campus, a gesture aimed at easing transportation challenges and improving access for students participating in academic and welfare activities.

The donation was formally handed over during a brief ceremony on campus, where Mrs. Isata Juldeh Jalloh received the students and staff on behalf of the Vice President. Speaking at the event, she noted that the donation reflected the family’s personal commitment to education and student welfare, drawing on her own close ties to Njala University. “We understand the challenges students face in accessing academic resources, attending lectures, and participating in university activities,” she said. “This bus is meant to support them in every way possible and ensure their academic experience is smoother and more productive.”

The initiative was warmly received by university officials. Vice Chancellor and Principal Prof. Bashiru Mohamed Koroma commended the donation, describing it as a reflection of the Vice President’s enduring dedication to education and public service. “Dr Juldeh Jalloh has always shown exceptional commitment to empowering young people and advancing national development goals,” Prof. Koroma said. “This bus will greatly enhance student mobility and contribute to their overall academic and social welfare.”

Students’ Union President Dassay Musa Senesie thanked the Vice President and his family, assuring that the bus would be used responsibly for its intended purpose. “We are deeply grateful for this generous donation,” Senesie said. “It will go a long way in helping students attend lectures, participate in community service, and engage in extracurricular activities safely and efficiently.”

In a show of gratitude, the Students’ Union presented appreciation gifts to Mrs. Isata Juldeh Jalloh, who received them on behalf of the Vice President.
