Freetown, Sierra Leone – Friday, 29th August 2025:
United Bank for Africa (UBA) Sierra Leone proudly partnered with the Under 30 CEOs Network for their Annual National Youth Dialogue, hosted at the Freetown City Auditorium. The landmark event convened emerging leaders, innovators, and changemakers from across the country to deliberate on pressing issues such as youth inclusion in governance, climate change, and livelihood skills development.
Representing UBA Sierra Leone were Sallieu Sesay, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications (MCC), and Juliana Kabba, Internal Communications & Brand Management Officer.
In his remarks, Mr. Sesay emphasized the transformative role of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) in shaping Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting how thousands of young people have been empowered to turn ideas into thriving enterprises.
He went on to spotlight UBA Sierra Leone’s youth-focused innovations, including Leo, the AI-powered chatbot that simplifies banking through social media, and the NexGen Account, tailored to meet the lifestyle and financial needs of today’s youth. He further referenced the bank’s partnership with Sierra Leonean music sensation Drizilik, whose brand ambassadorship continues to inspire and connect young people with UBA’s dynamic offerings.
“These initiatives,” Mr. Sesay noted, “underscore UBA Sierra Leone’s deep commitment to innovation, empowerment, and progress. We firmly believe Africa’s greatest asset is our youth. They are not only our future—they are our present.”
