Rokel Commercial Bank Positions as Cross-Border Trade Enabler

Algiers, Algeria – Rokel Commercial Bank (RCBank) has made a bold statement at the ongoing Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025), showcasing its ambition to become a key driver of cross-border trade, investment, and financial innovation across the continent.
The IATF — Africa’s largest trade and investment marketplace — has drawn more than 35,000 visitors, 2,000 exhibitors, and delegates from over 130 countries, providing vast opportunities for businesses and financial institutions.
RCBank’s delegation has been actively engaging in high-level discussions with Afrexim Bank and Oakwood Green Africa, exploring deeper collaborations in trade financing, SME support, and integration into the Africa Trade Gateway (ATG) platform.
Speaking at the bank’s exhibition booth, RCBank’s Deputy Managing Director emphasized the institution’s determination to project itself beyond Sierra Leone’s borders, positioning as a regional financial player capable of supporting intra-African trade.
The delegation also held engagements with Sierra Leone’s Minister of Trade and Industry and the country’s Ambassador to Algeria, aligning its vision with the government’s broader trade and investment priorities.

In recognition of its growing role in trade finance, Afrexim Bank has invited RCBank to participate in its upcoming Trade Finance Seminars in Nigeria—a move expected to deepen the bank’s expertise and strengthen continental partnerships.
By leveraging platforms like IATF, RCBank is signaling its readiness to support Africa’s financial integration, empowering SMEs, entrepreneurs, and large-scale businesses to seize opportunities in the expanding intra-African trade landscape.
