The Co-Founder and Presenter of Truth Media, Amadu Lamrana Bah, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Sierra Leone, Mohamed Alhajie Samoura, at the bank’s Head Office in Freetown.
The engagement formed part of Truth Media’s ongoing outreach to corporate institutions aimed at deepening collaboration, strengthening ethical journalism, and promoting transparent partnerships that support national development.
During the visit, Mr. Bah expressed sincere appreciation to Mr. Samoura for his continuous support to the media industry, particularly for recognizing the critical role journalists play in shaping public discourse and driving accountability. He outlined Truth Media’s vision to expand its influence across online and print platforms through credible reporting, innovative storytelling, and capacity-building initiatives that empower young media professionals in Sierra Leone.
He further highlighted the importance of corporate partnerships in promoting truth and transparency, stressing that responsible journalism and sustainable business growth are mutually reinforcing. Mr. Bah also extended a formal invitation to the UBA MD/CEO to visit Truth Media’s facilities, where he could interact with staff and gain firsthand insight into the company’s operations and future projects.
In his response, Mr. Samoura welcomed the visit and commended Truth Media for its professionalism, consistency, and contribution to national dialogue. He noted that a thriving private sector depends on a stable, peaceful, and well-informed society — values that can only be achieved through credible and responsible journalism.
Mr. Samoura reaffirmed UBA Sierra Leone’s unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives that foster socio-economic development, youth empowerment, and institutional growth. He emphasized that UBA, as a pan-African financial institution, remains a strong advocate of partnerships that promote innovation, transparency, and community impact.
The meeting concluded on a cordial and optimistic note, with both leaders agreeing to explore future areas of collaboration that would not only strengthen their respective institutions but also contribute meaningfully to Sierra Leone’s broader development aspirations.
Both parties expressed confidence that continued dialogue between the media and the private sector will help promote mutual understanding, enhance public trust, and drive sustainable progress across the country.
