KMC Clinches Victory at Leone Rock Metal Group’s Third Annual Inter-Site Football Competition

Port Loko, SThe spirit of teamwork, respect, and progress, central to the mission of the Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG), shone brightly during the company’s third annual inter-site football competition, held on Saturday, 29th November 2025, at the Port Loko Stadium. The event brought together staff, subcontractors, and management in a celebration of athletic skill, camaraderie, and organizational unity.
The tournament, now a flagship event in LRMG’s corporate calendar, featured four competitive teams: KMC, KRP, Headquarters, and CRFG, the company’s subcontractor. Over several weeks of matches, the teams battled fiercely for the coveted title, demonstrating both strategy and athleticism in every game.
The grand finale proved to be a nail-biting showdown between KMC and CRFG. Both sides showcased remarkable skill, stamina, and teamwork, keeping spectators and fellow staff members at the edge of their seats. After a tightly contested game that ended in a draw at full time, the championship was ultimately decided in a penalty shootout, with KMC emerging victorious 4–2, claiming the 2025 championship title.
The event drew a distinguished audience, including top LRMG executives such as Chief Technical Officer Salim Sillah, Admin Director Miller, HR Consultant Mohamed Daffae, and several key personnel from across the company. Their presence underscored the importance of the tournament as more than just a sporting event—it is a symbol of LRMG’s commitment to fostering unity, morale, and staff engagement.

Cash prizes and trophies were presented to all teams, with KMC receiving NLe 25,000 as champions, CRFG taking NLe 15,000 as runners-up, KRP awarded NLe 10,000, and Headquarters earning NLe 8,000. Medals and trophies were handed out in recognition of sportsmanship, dedication, and exceptional performance throughout the competition.
