The visit, which took place at the bank’s headquarters, was led by the senior management team of Africa Young Voice (AYV) Media Empire and was aimed at formally expressing gratitude to Rokel Commercial Bank for its immense support during Housemates Salone Season Four. The partnership between the bank and AYV has been widely credited with promoting youth empowerment, creativity, and entertainment across Sierra Leone.
Welcoming the delegation, the Head of Public Relations at Rokel Commercial Bank, Mr. Aruna Dumbuya, said the bank has consistently supported initiatives that align with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives, particularly those focused on youth development and national growth. “Rokel Commercial Bank has always been committed to initiatives that support national development, especially youth-focused programmes,” Mr. Dumbuya noted. “Our support for Housemates Salone reflects our belief in the power of young people and creative platforms to drive positive change in society.”

Mr. Borbor further stated that the bank is proud to be associated with developmental activities across the country, which explains its continued support for AYV and Housemates Salone. He described the recently concluded Season Four as “the best so far,” praising the quality of production, the conduct of contestants, and the positive impact of the programme on the youth.
He assured the contestants and organisers of the bank’s continued support, while also encouraging the Housemates finalists to maintain their dignity and protect their reputations.
“You are now public figures, ambassadors, and role models to many young people across the country,” Mr. Borbor reminded them. “How you conduct yourselves from now on will continue to inspire others.”
Other members of the bank’s senior management, including the Head of Operations, Mr. Adekali Kamara; the Marketing Manager, Ms. Michaela Dora Macauley; and the Director of Risk Management, Mr. Abdul Rahman Mahdi, commended AYV Media Empire and the Housemates finalists for returning to formally appreciate the bank’s support. He described the delegation as being accompanied by what he termed “the best Housemates ever,” noting that their presence symbolised appreciation and respect for partners who invested in the programme.
Mr. Leone thanked Rokel Commercial Bank for its unwavering support, describing the bank as a consistent and reliable partner to AYV. He noted that the partnership extends beyond Housemates Salone to other programmes aired on the AYV platform.
In response, the Housemates Salone finalists expressed heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff of Rokel Commercial Bank for believing in the brand and supporting youth-centred initiatives. They encouraged the bank to continue investing in programmes that empower young people and provide platforms for talent development.
The winner of Housemates Salone Season Four made a special appeal to the bank to consider engaging the Housemates as brand ambassadors, noting that their wide reach and influence could help promote the bank’s products and services while attracting more customers, particularly within the youth demographic.
