Freetown, Sierra Leone – Africell Sierra Leone has officially launched its 2026 Ramadan Promotion Show, titled “Gentri PaLamp,” offering a prize pool exceeding Le1 billion in cash and other rewards. The launch took place on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at Africell’s headquarters in Wilberforce, Freetown, as part of the company’s annual Ramadan engagement campaign for subscribers nationwide.

The 2026 edition of the Ramadan Show is designed as a multi-platform entertainment and rewards program, combining live television and radio broadcasts, digital engagement, community outreach, and AfriMoney-powered promotions. The program is set to run throughout the holy month of Ramadan and includes interactive gameplay, audience participation via short codes, social media challenges, nationwide promotional activations, and community-based events.

In his welcome address, Africell Media Manager Abdul Karim said the 2026 show was created with heightened creativity and a stronger subscriber-centric focus. He noted that the program aims to provide an enhanced viewing and participation experience, while demonstrating Africell’s appreciation for its nationwide customer base.

Marketing and Communications Manager Kamanda Koroma said the 2026 edition will be larger than previous years, featuring increased AfriMoney cash prizes alongside a broader portfolio of rewards, including smartphones, airtime, and other gifts.

Koroma explained that participants can enter the show by calling or sending SMS to short code 777, purchasing Africell scratch cards, or participating via AfriMoney. Selected participants will interact with a multiplier system, where visual outcomes determine prize multipliers such as ×1, ×2, or ×3, which are applied to cash prizes and other reward categories.

AfriMoney Marketing Manager John Konteh highlighted additional financial and consumer-focused promotions linked to the campaign. He announced the deployment of three branded rice trucks nationwide, with one stationed in Freetown and the Western Area, and two rotating across regional locations including Bo, Kenema, Makeni, among others. The AfriMoney Ramadan Bundle, priced at NLe10, includes three cups of rice redeemable via voucher, 2 minutes of on-net talk time, 250 MB data, and 250 SMS, valid until midnight.

Konteh also unveiled the Ramadan “Sunakati” initiative for AfriMoney subscribers, allowing users to participate by dialing *161*13#. Ten recipients will be selected daily throughout Ramadan, with winners announced on radio and AfriMoney’s Facebook page.

On the digital front, Africell Digital and Social Media Manager Fatmata Jaria Bah detailed daily keyword challenges announced during live broadcasts. Participants must comment on the daily keyword and compile weekly sentences to qualify for weekly prizes of NLe2,000. She encouraged subscribers to follow Africell’s social media channels for real-time updates and additional promotional activities.

Bah also announced that customers purchasing data bundles via the MyAfricell app during Ramadan will receive a 50 percent bonus, alongside other seasonal packages.

The show will air Monday to Friday, starting at approximately 7:45 p.m., with a runtime of about 1 hour 15 minutes. Participation is open to all subscribers, regardless of religious affiliation.

The “Gentri PaLamp” Ramadan Show is set to commence on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, as Africell continues its annual campaign combining entertainment, financial incentives, and community engagement across Sierra Leone
