Hon. Bashiru Silikie Raises Flag at St. Edward’s 103rd Foundation Anniversary Calls for Alumni Support

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, St. Edward’s Senior Secondary School in Kingtom, Freetown, celebrated its 103rd Foundation and Flag Raising Ceremony, bringing together distinguished alumni, students, and leaders from across the country. The event was graced by prominent old Edwardians, including Hon. Mathew Nyuma, Leader of Government Business, Hon. Bashiru Silikie, Deputy Leader of Government Business, and Hon. Chernor Maju Bah of the All People’s Congress (APC). Their presence at the ceremony symbolized unity, as they set aside political differences to celebrate the legacy of their alma mater.

As the school flag was raised high, the gathering of Edwardians stood in solidarity, showing that the spirit of brotherhood transcends politics. Hon. Nyuma, Hon. Silikie, and Hon.
