On Friday, March 21, 2025, Hon. Chericoco marked the third Jumu’ah prayer of the holy month of Ramadan at the esteemed Limba Central Mosque, located on Sanda Street in Freetown. The mosque, a significant landmark in the religious landscape of Sierra Leone, is known for its spiritual ambiance and welcoming environment. For Hon. Chericoco, it was a return to a place that has long been part of his life. As a child, he spent many years here, receiving part of his Quranic education and growing in faith.

The third Jumu’ah of Ramadan was an especially meaningful one, as it brought together a diverse group of worshippers, all united in faith and devotion. The soulful recitations of the Quran echoed throughout the mosque, creating an atmosphere of peace and reflection. The imam’s sermon was inspiring, emphasizing the virtues of Ramadan and the importance of spiritual growth during this holy month.

This was not the first time Hon. Chericoco had participated in Jumu’ah prayers at local mosques during Ramadan. Earlier in the month, he observed the first Jumu’ah at the Masjid Salaam in the Brookfields Community, a mosque where he regularly worships. The second Jumu’ah of the month was held at the Fullah Central Mosque in Magazine Cut, and now, the Limba Central Mosque marked his third Jumu’ah of the season. Hon. Chericoco’s presence at these various mosques has been widely appreciated by worshippers and religious leaders alike.

Throughout these visits, Hon. Chericoco was welcomed with warmth and respect. Many worshippers took the opportunity to acknowledge his longstanding commitment to the Islamic community in Sierra Leone. One imam during the Limba Central Mosque Jumu’ah praised his significant contributions to Islam in the country, particularly for his work in supporting Islamic organizations, mosques, and imams nationwide. Notably, one imam highlighted Hon. Chericoco’s role in the formation of the National Dawah Committee, an influential Islamic organization dedicated to spreading the message of Islam and supporting the religious community in Sierra Leone.

Hon. Chericoco’s dedication to his faith and the welfare of the Islamic community has made him a highly regarded figure among Sierra Leonean Muslims. His involvement in supporting various Islamic causes, from assisting mosques to sponsoring religious education, has solidified his position as a key figure in the country’s Islamic community.

As word spreads of his ongoing Ramadan observances, Hon. Chericoco has received multiple invitations to attend Jumu’ah prayers at mosques across the country. His dedication to his religious duties and the support he offers to the community have made him a beloved figure. However, with so many mosques eager for his presence, the question remains: where will Hon. Chericoco choose to observe his next Jumu’ah prayer? The anticipation is growing, and his continued participation in these prayers is a testament to his commitment to faith, community, and the values of Ramadan.
