Stats SL Engages Port Loko on 2026 Census Plans at Civic Day Event

Stats SL, represented by its Deputy Statistician-General, Lansana Kpewolo Kanneh, is actively participating in the second edition of the Civic Day Series held in Port Loko District.

The Civic Day Series, organized by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education (MoICE), aims to bring government services and decision-making closer to the people, promoting transparency, awareness, and public engagement.

During the event, Mr. Kanneh is expected to update residents of Port Loko on the strategic plans and key progress made toward the implementation of the upcoming 2026 Decennial Population and Housing Census. His remarks will highlight the importance of inclusive participation and accurate data collection for national development.

The forum also offers a platform for community members to ask questions, share feedback, and better understand the role of Stats SL in shaping evidence-based policymaking through reliable statistics.
