Girl Power Summit 2025: Celebrating Girls on the Frontlines of Change in Port Loko

We are thrilled to announce the resounding success of the 2025 Girl Power Summit held in Port Loko, a dynamic event that celebrated the strength, leadership, and potential of girls in our communities.
The summit was led by Women and Girls Protective Services in partnership with the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, Save the Children, Hope Pathways, Children in Development Organization, Children Forum Network, Dim Din Organization, Coms-SL, and the Rainbow Initiative.
Held under the inspiring theme “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” the event highlighted the vital role girls play in driving transformation and resilience, especially in challenging times.
We extend heartfelt gratitude to all our esteemed stakeholders for their unwavering support in celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child 2025. Special appreciation goes to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Port Loko for their continuous encouragement, and to the various institutions that opened their doors to allow girls to take the lead and experience positions of power.
Your support means the world—to us and to the incredible girls we serve. Together, let’s continue to empower, uplift, and inspire girls to reach their fullest potential and lead with confidence.
